O Secretário Regional da Saúde assegurou hoje, em Angra do Heroísmo, que as melhorias disponibilizadas na aplicação para telemóveis PROCIV Azores permitem uma resposta mais célere em situações de emergência ou de catástrofe, bem como uma utilização alargada a turistas, através da nova versão em inglês.

“Esta é uma oportunidade para potenciarmos ainda mais um suporte tecnológico moderno e célere ao serviço da segurança das populações”, afirmou o Secretário Regional da Saúde na apresentação das novidades daquela aplicação.

Rui Luís, que tutela a pasta da Proteção Civil, salientou que, “desde que foi criado, o PROCIV Azores registou cerca de 4.000 utilizadores”, acrescentando ser esperado um aumento das adesões com o novo formato agora apresentado.

O Secretário Regional adiantou que esta versão, que inclui também avisos meteorológicos e sismológicos em inglês, será fundamental para criar um espírito de segurança entre a população açoriana e os visitantes.

O PROCIV Azores, criado em 2016, dispõe de toda a informação básica e necessária em matéria de Proteção Civil.

Esta ferramenta oferece informações uteis em situação de catástrofe e disponibiliza informação ao nível da sensibilização para diferentes situações, como acidentes ou situações clínicas.

As novas funcionalidades incluem a rápida identificação da quantidade de avisos ativos e informação mais precisa relativamente às ocorrências locais, como sejam interrupções de vias, zonas de acesso condicionado e áreas de risco.

Foi também melhorada a visualização de notícias e de avisos na aplicação, sem que o utilizador tenha que sair dela para as visualizar.

Rui Luís acrescentou que a divulgação da nova versão do PROCIV Azores, será feita junto de operadores turísticos, hotéis, zonas balneares, portos e aeroportos do arquipélago.
